Working Meets!
It’s been called to my attention by several Association Presidents that there is a need for officials to support their local Association meets. I realize it’s everyone’s goal to work the Major Championship Meets. However your local Association sponsored meets are also very important and in need of your services. It’s also in ones best interest to work local Association meets as it helps your resume when being considered for USATF Championships. The selection committee does look at ones involvement at the local level. It’s also very apparent in this day in age that everyone has a hectic schedule however plan ahead to make time to work local meets, I’m sure your local Association will appreciate it and who knows you may be officiating a future Olympic Champion.
